The Role

AEXLAB is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. This position is targeted at lifting development teams with data and process support. We want people who enjoy working in cross-discipline groups to make exciting games. Candidates will have broad responsibility to identify problems and opportunities, and make improvements wherever necessary.

The ideal candidate has experience in a range of areas in production, automation, and development and is passionate about helping others do more. This is a potential growth position for people excited about building relationships, tools and frameworks to enhance team performance.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Developer assistance with P4, Atlassian Cloud, Shotgun, Jenkins, and build tools

  • Create and update documentation for DevOps services

  • Develop and support automation in a variety of environments including Atlassian Cloud, Shotgun, and Jenkins

  • Facilitate data-driven decision making with metrics, KPI collection, dashboards, and reports

  

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years professional experience in software development

  • Demonstrated proficiency in a high level language such as Python, C#, Java

  • Demonstrated proficiency with source control such Perforce, Git, etc.

  • Experience managing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS

  • Clear written and verbal communication

  

Bonus, but not required:

  • Experience creating reports, automation, or dashboards for Atlassian

  • Experience with telemetry and data visualization in general and systems such as Datadog, Splunk, and Exostatic in particular

  • Experience with Ansible or Terraform

  • Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.

  • Comfortable building and debugging C++ in Visual Studio

  • Experience with game development in general and UE4 in particular
